Breath of Fresh Air
MY Saturday was considerably well spent seeing that I had 4 appointments with varying special groups of people during the course of the day. I admit was was dog tired by the end of the day but it was all worth while.
My morning was spent in the West end of Singapore at a CIP briefing in the Science Centre, (I'm facilitating kids playing with DNA!!) The briefing was without a doubt a complete bore, but what followed was definitely of more interest. I spent half my journey back (to Tamp) talking to my classmate. I'm convinved that she had a cold exterior, but is actually all right on the inside. It was a really enlightening and enjoyable talk with her. Both of us have rather similar sentiments concerning the school and its people.
Anyways, being back in the familiarity of Tampines was the greatest relief. Getting to see Fei2 and PingPong was another mood-lifter. My goodness! I met like 4 people from my primary school during the mere 1.5 hours that I was at TP! It was nice seeing all the ex-Hildans and stuff, getting to see how people have changed somewhat or another, especially when you haven't seen the person in about half a decade or so, it rocked. =) Really miss the people.
After some chilling at Long John's I went to central Singapore to meet Nat and Lian Si. IT was FANTASTIC sister bonding time! Thank God for such a great mentor and sister. Not to worry I'm not going to get all religious and stuff. (Shhh... btw, Liansi's pregnant!!) She's the one who got married in January. So exciting right??? My gosh, I'm so excited, it's as if I were the one who was pregnant! I think pregnancy is a wonderful experiece, don't you think so? OK besides the puking, aches, mood swings, cravings, it's really not all ThAT bad..
The final group of the day was the SA KI group. It felt simply WONDERFUL being with them. So we made a lot of noise and attracted quite a fair bit of unwelcome attention, but I was reall yhappy being with them. It reminded me so much about my first 3 months and stuff. You tend to naturally feel comfortable with them, someway or another. Somehow, these extremely brilliant people can also act in the most moronic ways, they spent a good 15 minutes attempting not just once or twice but probably 20 times to flick plastic spoons off the Gelare table and down to Sweet Secrets one floor down. (We were at PS) MY gosh... I didn't know where to hide my face, haha... but I love the bunch nonetheless. =)

My Singular/inexistant Intelligence
For those who are doing GP or who have heard of the multiple intellegences scientists have decided to seperate IQ into, you'll know roughly what I'm talking about. For those who are clueless, here's a crash course. Not very recently, some professionals decided that IQ and EQ weren't sufficient to embody the complexities of the human intelligence. Thus, they seperated or catogerised different skills into 7 areas of intelligence. Namely,
Linguistic intelligence ("word smart"):
Logical-mathematical intelligence ("number/reasoning smart")
Spatial intelligence ("picture smart")
Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence ("body smart")
Musical intelligence ("music smart")
Interpersonal intelligence ("people smart")
Intrapersonal intelligence ("self smart")
Naturalist intelligence ("nature smart")
And obviously we all know from experience that the government and society places a large emphasis on Logical-mathematical intelligence and Linguistic intellegence. A large majority of the subjects we study in school fall under these catogaries.
We did a short little test to see where our main intellegences fell under and I found myself stranded with one of the more impractical and redundant intellegences if you were to think about it in the long run. Apparantly, I am predominantly mathematicallyl and interpersonally smart. How the hell is one to enter the society and procreate with MAth?!
All right that sounds a little off-course, but I seriously feel that linguistic skills or kinesthetic skills would be much more highly appreciated later on. Unless I'm bent on becoming a Math guru/spinster, why in the world would I need math? I would rather be stupid in that area and be able to do my languages well than vice versa. Ever noticed how the majority of your Math or Physics teachers often fail to articulate proper Engrish?
I suck at language! Even after spending a whole 1 hour on my Chinese essay the other day which I thought went fairly well, I barely scraped a pass! How encouraging
=(
sorry this one no link one. Decided to add colour to the boring post.

Not about me!
So I lied a bit, the beginning part of the entry still boils down to me. =) (MuaHaAH) But anyways, here's the thing. I was walking along by my poor lonely self in Bugis Junction after school on Saturday. Yes, Saturday. AC being so rich and independant they decide to oppose PM Lee's policy of a 5 day work week. So anyways, just as I was dragging my feet across the buffered marble of the complex, a bright a-go-go hairband on a familiar face caught my eye. And lo and behold! It was none other than the oh-so-fashionable AiPing!! And with her was my all time facourite stick friend Dhabitah!
Now as most of you know I often seem to be the most unemotive and nonchalent person. Not the kind who would go around malls squealing with delight as I hug girlfriends whom I haven't seen in a while, (not that long in fact) However somehow I wasn't able to control myself that day, something took over me, pulled me across to them like a pin to a super electromagnet and caused me to produced a cry at a frequency so high that I never envisioned myself to reach.
I was simply SOO delighted and happy to see them. =)
Heheh...

And here a shot of Aiping looking very much like her cat, Mr Kitty. Yes, Mr Kitty. Laugh at the name people. Haha... Just to prove my point, here's apicture of a feline friend though not hers in particular, there's still the resemblence.
Heheh...
