time Flies

I've finally decided to settle down and have kids.

If that were true then the title of this post would REALLY be apt. haha.

After spending the last 10 months part-timing around, finally the once distant reality of me flying off keeps nearing. I suddenly realised that, By JOve I have 3.5 months left before I begin my tertiary education! Which is really really worrying to me because I think I have practically lost my mental capability of studying and remembering obscure yet important facts. I make a directional mistake almost everytime I drive now, e.g. turning into the wrong highway, going into the wrong lane and swerving out on the chevron marking, etc. I just can't seem to register things like roads, directions, facts, what not. And it's driving me INSANE!

So today I'm embarking on my new mission to restart my gears. Yes I'm going to start studying whatever subject there is to study. Linguistics, Psychology, Biology, anything.

Another thing about time flying is that I've finall come to the end of teaching my tuition kids.

They were such the unexpected loveliest bunch of kids! I still remember the initial few lessons where you guys were all s0o0oo00 quiet. (For a moment I thought I was spending all my energy on something that wasn't alive leh!) I guess after you guys began to warm up, plus yokecheng coming into class suddenly released a whole tsunami of talking! And I enjoyed every minute of the funny comments and ideas you guys said, haha. (I enjoyed even more marking funny answers on your worksheets)

I regret not baking you guys cookies!

And oops I'm still in the process of typing the questions out for you all. I'm adding in a few more I found.

Jiayou for next year and the years to come ok! All of you have that smartness in you one, just that right now it maybe buried and not as obvious to your teachers through your results, but individually, I can see that you guys aren't dumb for sure (cos you all managed to answer the questions I asked you) haha, whether it's being sharp at details, or being inquisitive, or having a good sense of logic, all of that is in you guys! :D

All righti, pictorials~

The cupboard which I built!! Looks easy? The drilling was killer. PLUS, after I pieced the cupboard together, my mum told me she needed 2 more huge holes at the back. Wah piang wey. But we managed it with quite some trauma and no injuries.

Melamine MelamineMelamineMelamine. bad engrish as usual of Sweettalk. The last one was 'Water Cheatnut' instead of 'Water Chestnut'.

And she jsut looked so cute and random in the middle of the floor. She's currently the youngest daughter of a mum who has 5 daughters and 1 more on the way! So essentially, she's no longer the youngest. 6 daughters!! How lovely is that??

I hate PMS!!!

Yesterday I had a record breaking 5 people who consecutively told me I was fat/getting fatter.

*emos to oneself*

BUt my colleague had a really funny statement of comfort, she said, (she's filipina) 'at least you get big eberywhere, and not just your head, or arm, or this part or that part... '

Haha, I couldn't help but laugh at her futile attempt to ease my pain.

I always tend to stop work at all the wrong times. Argh. fixed

Traumatised

What's more traumatic than shooting in a reverse bungee, diving with the great white sharks, dropping your new $400 handphone or looking into your kitchen sink and seeing a dinosaur-of-a-lizard?

I tell you:

Handling a power Power Drill in the comfort of your home without supervision.

Wah lau the sound of the drill so scary la! I ge-gao-ingly (act-clever-ly) decided to help my mum drill through the softboard backing of her new television shelf for her to put her VCR wires through when she sets it up. I took my time tto read through the instructions of the power power drill ( I keep saying power power because I think it was super power la) And I can bet that all these power tool manufacturers have no EQ man. Either they're really smart enough to know the redundance of instruction manuals to guys because the instruction manual I was looking at was so darn sparse compared to the one you find with IKEA's furniture that I might as well just fired myself off into assembling the drill shit and all. They think everyone who operates a drill has enough testosterone and egos big enough to allow them to operate a dangerous tool without first looking at instructions la!

So with bated breath and sweat forming at every single pore on the surface of my body, I drilled stupid holes into the softboard. Compared to my secondary school years I think my drilled holes look nicer and straighter, but wah kao eh, damn stressful la!! I bet I lost more sweat than the F1 drivers after a race.

Now I need to find sandpaper.. Wah kao.

Sorry I just can't stop cursing

Wah piang eh, drill so scary lor.

New kids on the Block!

This is the new craze I'm having, check on the dimples on the lead singer Ngak! (sooo to die for!) The first 5minutes of the video maybe quite boring if you can't understand chinese at all, so just skip to the 5th minute or so and listen to their version of ji ba ban. Cons you'll so love this! (and his dimples!)

Laggy Post!!

I'm back!! (For the past 2 weeks) Just that I started work so soon after I touched down that I didn't get the chance to upload my photos from the phone only till 3 days back and again didn't ge the chance to blog about the trip till now.

I woke up at 11 today!! How fantastic that feels every once in a while. All right, so lets get down to business. Made a trip down to look at UQ plus hopefull set my mum's mind at ease so that she doesn't pack up and leave with me, however this trip shot me in the foot in some ways. For instance, she's now decided to come down with me for the first few days to help me 'settle down'. I shall not dwell upon that because I know that most people don't share my viewpoint on this matter.

So... the school was gorgeous! I always had this ideal image that Unis overseas would be full of lucious green fields, great architechture and students walking about worry-free with a perpetual smile plastered on because they truly are happy, birds chirping and butterflies singing.... Oops. yes that was Utopia in my mind and I never expected UQ to be actually close to this. It isn't really like that, but it ain't far off either. (THey had this HUGE lake in school! And green green grass!!) Omg I sound like a cow who can't wait to chew the school field barren.

Lucky Siyi, this is the Law building. It was so huge that I tried to get a picture of it from the outside, not a very nice picture because I thought, hey, I'm gonna be there for 4 years, surely I'll be able to get better photographs, but this one's just a carrot hanging on a stick for Siyi. Hehheh... Sandstone buildings!!

While in Brisbane we met Lionel's Aunt and her daughter Shyanne and her cousin Kelvin. There's nothing more adorable than a couple of Asian kids blabbering in an Aussie accent about thigns you're clueless about and yet they get each other perfectly. My sister took videos of their funny antics, I'll post them up once she gets them out of her camera. They're sooo adorable!!
Plus Shyanne's dad cooks the BEST chinese/vietnamese food in the entire world I swear. We ate there 2 consecutive days and didn't get sick of it. We never got enough of it in fact!

Now we went off to Gold Coast on Thursday. This is the carpark of the famous Movie World! You see those 2 things sticking out in the air?? Those are the 2 newest rides Batman something and Superman something. Freakin' high!!!

Here's the superman one from a closerup shot. If you notice, despite perspective faults, the slope going down is almost perpendicular to the ground. Actually, it is! I cannot describe the amount of adrenaline in my blood that day, I think I would've burst! But Superman was fantastic, they accelerate you from 1-100km/h in 2seconds. TWO SECONDS LEH! You feel like your heart is left behind (somehow this cliche line seems only apt in this context) Following this killer slope is a series of other less killer slopes but at killer speeds. Soooo. That's Superman. a must try for all going to Movie World in time to come.

More random pictures, Here's my mum acting as the funka' mama.

Back to Sunny Singapore, aren't these shoes gorgeous?? New Balance's new series! Sadly they're all men's shoes, but they're extremely affordable at their factory outlet at Comtec, this ulu building at Harbour front. Any of you people need $40 sports shoes??

Men of the house

Growing up in my family/home requires one thing, independance. Independance from men. We do most things ourselves, save for impossible thigns such as fixing the air conditioner or drilling mega holes. My mum would've been able to do it were she a little younger, but it's always safer to get a contracter just in case you drill a hole in a gas pipe. Plus, we pay the contracter a mere $20-$30 for a whole afternoon of peace, because you see, if my dad were to attempt this task of a thousand men, he'd act as if he were a top surgeon seperating Nepalese siamese twins, having my mum hovering next to him to pass him a screwdriver, screw, drill, tissue whatever. And he'd take 10x as long and blame us if he drilled the hole crookedly.

CAn you see why we do most things ourselves? I build my own furniture which comes from Ikea and so does my mum, we help mainly when moving is required but that is it, because more hands cause more confusion. My sister normally gets a boyfriend to help her. My mum and sister make most of the furniture decisions and my mum does the most where-to-drill-holes planning and where-to-insert-extra-table positioning. I painted this house with the help of Fei, my mum set up the curtains in the living room herself, etc. So perhaps we don't have the perfect home because our window hinges are giving way, some doorknobs are dropping off, but I find it in great condition seeing that no man has lived here.

And I have become the official bug/roach/lizard get-ridder-of in the family. This morning there was a dinosaur of a lizard in our kitchen sink sitting right there and staring at me I thought I'd spew my milo on him. They (my mum and sis) very clever la, just leave me in the house with a dinosaur without first informing me. When I talked to my mum later she said she'd seen the lizard and left it there, because even though she has a long raging war with lizards since the 1990s, she won't touch/catch one even if her life were based on it. She'd call me and tell me to 'just throw out the window la~' Just!? I've 'Just' thrown plenty of lizards, roaches(small ones), beetles, random ugly huge ants, a grasshopper, etc. I've kept spiders as pets, a baby lizard for a couple of hours cos it was so cool looking through his transluscent body at the lungs and heart pumping, I've kept lizard eggs, which hatched(so cool!), and yeah, thats about it.

Here's T-Rex. He's freakin' huge la. I think it was dying though, it didn't struggle much as I covered it. And I think is by far one of the nicest photos I've taken! Taken at Rochester during my break. I saw this white spot running around the table. First, I thought it was an ant carrying food, but it was moving too fast to be an ant. Low and behold! My favourtie spider! But this one had one hellova ass. Fei calls this the Jennifer Lopez of spiders. Look at the size of the ant next to it to gauge the actual size. Here's a close up/And ya, the photo was taken in sepia mode.

Science Geek

I miss being a science geek that I gravitated towards during my mid-teens. I'd go to the Community Library, and get this, borrow books on Physics, Astronomy, early inventions, the brain blah blah blah. Through those books I picked up that calculus was simultaneously evolved by Newton and this other guy called Leibniz. But most people give credit to the famous guy, although both wouldn't have really been able to do this if not for a few more elusive scientists back in the earlier days who died before they could finish their calculations. Ok besides that geeky fact some books actually told the sappy side of Newton's life and you empathise with these 2 guys who were fighting to publish their findings first, because at that time, it's no use if you publish it later than another dude even if he had completely plagerised your work because publishing was the final say. Newton was pretty upset when he found out that Leibniz has used some of his findings to actually conclude calculus. Aiya, you people go read it up yourself.

Anyways, for the Dan Brown readers or the other people who are just in tune with the current news, th Large Hadron Collider in France just went through 'firing' yesterday. Basically, it's a particle accelerator which spams 27km. Get that right. that's across the border of Switzerland and France. Basically it's used to accelerate particles (in the nano sense) such that when they collide, they just fall to pieces and scientists are able to study these fragments. The original construction in 1988 was used as a electron-positron collider. Dan Brown's novel Angels and Demons explained this fantastically and (it's still my favourite book out of all of them)
Anyways, the reason why I'm talking about this obiang sciency thing in the first place is because firstly, I really think it's amazing, and secondly, there's a funny side to it. (as usual) I bet a lot of you guys would know the game half life, I myself am quite clueless of what the game is about save that it's probably about killing and annihilating creatures/people/mushrooms. But Jon showed me this picture which really made me laugh, on how all the gamers were silently hoping that something would go wrong as the Accelerator was 'fired' yesterday.

He told me that they had even sent him a crowbar and a manual of the game just for kicks. HAHA

Post-Emo

I haven't been in the best of moods lately, grumpy, whiney/complainy, moody, all the other negative-y feelings. I couldn't really put my finger on it initially, my workplace finally is one which pays well and I shouldn't be feeling exploited, plus I have Cons working with me and several colleagues who are witty and funny, (for the first time) so I shouldn't be complaining about not being able to use my brain during work. My mum let me park the car in a parking lot these couple of days and I actually managed to park perfectly for once. People have been contacting/messaging me even though they're busy with school and I have seemed to have forgotten/neglected them. People call me out for dinner or just to slack so I don't feel like I'm being 'abandunt' (inside joke) and I can't whine about not getting attention cos I have been getting attention. Soooooo.. I figured it's

1) I'm not happy that I should be content cos I have all the thigns I wanted and yet it's no big deal

2) It's an uber prolonged pppms (post-post-pre-menstrual syndrome)

3) or like cons suggested, it's cos i dont have anything at the moment I'm looking forward to or workng for.

4) I needa hao nan ren yet I don't want one. Fickle right? HAHA

But, as my entry is titled, I'm no longer as emo because my online galfriend/lengzai has made it all better!

Update!

As I sit here this morning with a throbbing heading, drinking coke and listening to Free Falling, I wonder, what shall I be writing about today? Bitchy stuff like how I'm beginning to feel stuck in church or analysing my voyeuristic observations I've been making?

I went to watch the Philharmonic Winds last night!! I know hearing that probably brings snores to many people, but last night's performance was hilarious and breathtaking because Phil winds decided to go pop! (as in popular songs) they played a couple of obiang chinese songs from the 60s, Contemporary ones like Better Man, Over the Rainbow and get this, UMBRELLA! No kidding! These musicians aren't paid by the orchestra, hence plenty teach/instruct in schools, and yesterday's Esplanade concert hall met a huge swarm/herd of noisy, catcalling kids. Ok they didn't really mind the cheering at the start and end of each song, It warmed up the concert hall much more. Umbrella was really hilarious because all the kids were belting out the l yrics during the chorus, plus the conductor was shaking his ass off man!

Everyone! Go watch this! No it's not the Jade Seah video (although honestly, the voice doesn't even sound like hers la) It's John Mayer singing Free Falling in the hottest way ever.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wJ-VPqFzy0

(they didn't allow me to embed it)

I love it when I see cute couples, not cute lovey dovey typical couples, but couples which you'd never expect ot see, people you though would never be able to find a match because of their super high intellectual ability, and matches which just seem sooo weird when you see them. For instance, an uber emo ah beng with streaky blond hair and a qian-bian face holding hands with the nerdiest girl you've ever seen instead of the normal skinny, fair-skinned, long-rebinded-hair mei mei they sling across their arms. Or how bout 2 top debaters? Every line they speak lined with sarcasm, dripping with 'coolness' and saturated with cynicism. And there's nothing like watching an emo-angsty-nonchalent 20 year old poly student smiling at the photos of his girlfriend's baby girl, even though the kid's not his. Or a couple of cute coly poly people going for a romantic dinner.

When I saw each of this different couples, I couldn't help but either stare in wonderment, or get that warm and fuzzy feeling. they taught me 2 things, 1, no matter what people might say, you can be sure that you'll be able to find your complete exact match (perhaps) Or at least someone who really thinks the way you do, loves the things you do and has a similar mental capacity as you. And secondly, it taught me that love makes peopl accept things they might not have accepted before. Dating a single mum? Or an ah beng dropout (maybe la, drama a bit) what would your mother say? or what would your friends do?

All you need is Love..... Oei, love can eat one meh.

All Out Craziness

PICTORIALS!!!

I'm truly sorry about the horrendously late post. I've been procrastinating, been stuffed with work and of course, cramming my driving lessons into 2 weeks before the deadline. Every morning for the past week I've been waking up at 7am (back to the good ole' JC days!) and taking the road to ulu Bukit Gombak (not very ulu when you actually get there) Last week every instructer that took me gave the same appalled look when they glanced at my lesson paper thingi and always ask the xsame thing: Your exam next month!? Can make it anot?? *tries not to sound too discouraging* Then I tell them I've crammed 15 lessons in 10 days (I go for lessons twice a day somedays) and the blood continues to flow to their face. Machiam I going to bang car like that.

So on the days that I have 2 lessons, I have a 2 hour break (which, Siyi very kindly accompanied me through today's killer 2 hour break)

Gombak Macs! My hangout for the past 1.5 weeks and will be for a long time should I not pass my driving test.

Time for the tribute/thanking part! I know I've kinda been MIA to some, especially since 1, my monthly sms quota was reached and grossly overshot last month. 2) I reach home late from work and can't stay up late due to my 7am rising thingi - I don't wanna fall asleep at the wheel, crash the car and get 12 points/die. 3) Even when I'm online I'm handling my Aussie shitty applications, so I often appear offline. I pontanged work a couple of times, which made me feel like shit after that because of the guilt.

Ok enough about me.

More about the people in my life and how I hit 19 this awful 2008. Thank you all thouse who spilt wax/burnt themselves/burnt their hair/inhaled poisonous CO gas/ sweated like crazy to make this wild idea of a name for me. Haha, I apologise if I seemed ungrateful and unimpressed that evening, I was under the stress of an A level student. HAHA... But I loved ever waxy bit of it guys!!! :D Thanks for the sweat.
the first 'cake' of the year! This one truly was a shocker coming from people I didn't expect. Sho shweet hor..

And on that Thursday, these cunning and extremely comical people/bunch from church decided to scare the hell out of me. (no that doesnt make me a saint now though) haha. A very schemingly devised plan was made to bring me out of the house while 15 people crammed into my very very small living premise. They brought pre-prepared food (so painstakingly cooked by Wendy!) cake, and even decorations!!!

BEFORE
My sister sneaked a photo of the hectic preperations they made while I was downstairs 'fetching' another friend from the bustop. I was so touched when I saw this photo!! Look at the stressed faces!!! all the huffing, puffing and climbing by Mr Monkey Gerald to stick the balloons on the window. Thank goodness he didn't fall out man, my windows, like the rest of the house, are breaking down and on the verge of dropping out.

That's Wendy! (the superwoman T-shirt she has on is really apt for all the trouble she went through to cook all that food and lure me out for lunch the previous day)
AFTER
Look at their faces! Satiating their hunger after a 2 hour hell of stress.Heheh... I bugged my mummy to buy ballonons for me Helium one!! :DAnd wah lao I took pictures of all the funny gifts people got me but some glitch in my com happened and now they're all gone. Bah... save for this one from bong and paul. Stupid keychain!! HAha.. but it's damn funny and I'm gonna keep it on my phone. (If you can't read, it says Cuiman, as usual.) Haha... My sister+Lionel got me this delux garlic/mushroom/onion/potato dicer!! It's damn cool, although its an explicit hint for me to cook for them. pooi. Haha... Mings got me food!! which I finished like, within 24 hours lor.. Thanks mings! Sustenance came in really really helpful! THey were my breakfasts for several days, (I bet you're now frowning upon my unhealthy lifestyle because most of what she gave me was chocolates and very sweet things like biscuits and raisins) heh..
And the GONG LI mask-solution thingi from the bunch!! Damn funny the way aiping wrapped gongli's face around the bottle, it actually looked very genuine. HAHA... And picks! :D Thank youuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!
And of course the dress from oily and siyi. They think too highly of me and gave a dress that was like 10 sizes too small. Sorry I fat la... HAha, but siyi got it changed already and it makes me look like a kawiii CHIJ girl now, (siyi I'm gonna wear a white Tee inside next time!) HAha...
And the wonderful noticeboard from Nat and Cons!!! I shall post a photo up soon once I get the time once again!
Ok randomness, I was watching Batman the movie one day and Robin Goh that same evening, so it came out pretty funny looking in my organiser. Ok the '&' was added after I saw the positioning of the shows. HAha.. Ok I bet you guys dont get it. nvm, my brain not working already. As you can see this ain't one the intellectual posts. HAHA

LOVE YOU ALL!

By Jove!

I almost forgot what next week was and stupidly turned in my schedule to work on Thursday night. In case any of you dare to forget, it's my birthday next thursday!! Plus, it's going to be my last birthday spent in sunny singapore for the next 4 years :(.

I can't believe that I'm going to spend my 21st birthday away. Oh well I guess I'm not going to be the only one seeing that term runs from end Feb to June followed by mid July to end October, only that small fraction of Jan, Feb, June, October November and December babies will have the honour of spending their birthday with family & friends down under.

It's time for the annual list!!

And remeber how I told everone I was gonna grow fat because of thyroid? I have. I've gained 4kg over the past 2-3 weeks. Absolutely fantastic isn't it? You wouldn't think any one would have the capability to gain such weight in such a short time. Try it yourself, it's not that easy. Even if you were to binge eat everyday, your body would automatically gain weight at a more sane rate unlike mine.

Ok back to happy issues aka The List.

Actually I can't think of many things this year, however I did get most of the things which I wanted last year, (take a look if you forgot) The Piaf CD<>

Having entered the working world, I'm now less strapped for cash when I want something, now I only know how difficult it is to work your ass of to earn that something whether it be a new guitar or an expensive item. (waitressing for that measely $6/hr only feels good for the first month or so)

  1. A new Gibson guitar! Jazz guitar preferably, please come guitar shopping with me! Yes I know you all are saying 'isn't that blue Ovulation thingi guitar good enough??' Sorry greed has got the best of me.

  2. Flawless skin like gong li

  3. An Octaver pedal (i think that's what it's called) I've yet to locate one yet. It's a guitar effects pedal which shifts the E and A string one octave lower so that it sounds as if you're playing a bass guitar and guitar at once!

  4. To lose all that weight I've piled up, someone sponsor me to be Mary Chia's spokesperson please!! or sponsor like Fann Wong's Xando or sth.

  5. I need a new bag already.

  6. A Prada bag, Gucci wallet and Guess heels. (so that I can sell all of them off to fund me buying a new guitar!!)

  7. Someone to pull strings and get me a scholarship/bursary to fund my education for the next 4 years so that my mum can stop slogging.

  8. A bicycle. (I'm dead serious, cheap one from Carrefour can already) I just can't buy a bike on my own accord cos my mum would slaughter me.

  9. A laptop, even my 13 year old tuition kids have laptops. You know I've never had my own camera in my entire life either? The only camera I've ever owned was a disposible one whose filmed I saved for 3 years and the current camera phone I have. It's something I'll need when I go overseas anyways

  10. a hao nan ren, as said in previous posts before, I needa man!!

  11. The new Sony Ericsson 5mp phone!
  12. See la all the things I want too expensive.

Continue another time

13. Loose clothing, you know the kind you wear with a belt? Yes that kind of ah-lian blouse, because it's comfortable and you can not worry about your belly sticking out.

14. I really can't think of anything viable because if I really wanted these things, I'd just buy it cos I'm earning,. well kinda.

Monday, July 21, 2008

Wah lao I'm so frustrated!! Firstly, I got robbed it broad daylight by the malay food stall downstairs, $4 for 2 measely peaces of mutton rendang! wah piang!! and then ah, I call the Music Lab (the place where I've been learning jazz guit the past month) to reschedule this week's lesson and their lousy no PR skill gm picks up the phone and tells me that I can only postpone lessons once every 4 lessons. bull crap, I argued back very nicely ok, so she said she'd check. stupid PR skill-less woman. she's been pissing me off since day one. just that I couldn't find another teacher. argh.

I'll just stop lessons and tell her it's because of her that they're losing a student. The teacher is really good, just that she sucks. Even the blur blur admin staff she hires are leagues better than her.

p00oo0o0ooiiiii!!!

Sights and Sounds

Let's begin with

Batman: The Dark Knight -which I caught on Sunday. I didn't even know the title of this movie except for the 'Batman' due to the large number of Batmans that have come and gone over the years. I did a little bit of googling and came up with the list of batmans. However, the stories all clash in some way or another, save for the one with George Clooney. Some say Two Face/Harvey Dent arose from a acid-spilt-on-face-accident, but some say it was because of a fire. Soooo... sadly all the Batmans can't be linked unless the actor/director works on them. E.g. Then's Michael Keaton and Now's Christian Bale who have both acted in 2 episodes each.

And did you know Batman first came out as a fat and pudgy hero?? REally unglam and fat. Arts central shows some of those B-grade episodes once in a while.

Ok enough of the facts and more on opinions. Good movie or not? It's really a matter of preference. I suppose compared to other Batman movies (George Clooney, Val Kilmer) this one's much better. Heath Ledger!!! =(

However I personally don't really like Batman to begin with, I prefer more light hearted, nerdy, less chauvanistic hero alter-egos such as Peter Parker compared to the masculine, over-achieving and flirtatious Bruce Wayne. Batman shows are always oozing with ceps, biceps, triceps, quadraceps, quintaceps, cheesy one-liners and cliche 'lessons-learnt', it's a movie style from a different time altogether, unlike modern movies such as Juno, american Gangster, etc. Script was really deliberate and unrealistic, perhaps because it's based on a comic book. It's not bad, it's just not what I prefer, get it? aiya, just watch la.

But Spiderman cuter. :D

speaking of shows I caught the recent one man + his band recital by Robin Goh. It was wittingly titled 'Happy Robin', which, if you notice, is a euphamism for him because our censorship board wouldn't allow something so explicit. It was rated R18. Sing song only leh, R18. Anyways, Robin Goh, in case you don't know, is a well-known name on stage, he was one of the Chang & Eng brothers, he was the Man in Man of Letters (ok I forgot the characters name la). He performed as Aladdin, in the Asian Boys Volumes, and much more. Basically he's a musical kind of guy, with an excellent voice. All right his showmanship isn't fantastic, but enough la. anyways he spent the evening belting songs about loving him and missing him and waiting for the right man (you get the idea) Which I found absolutely adorable. He talked about his first love, which was really cute, he's also quite a tiny guy, which also adds to his cuteness because everytime he got on his high stool he struggled like a child. Haha.. And as you can seee by the picture, he's extremely proud of his sexuallity and declares it loud and clear with his diamond ear stud! I've yet to see him without it. I bet it was gross for him to do kissing scenes with Emma Yong or whatever female co-star he had. HAha..

And not to forget!! RJ Rosales was there to support (along with a lot of big theatre-shots) like Emma Yong, Ivan Heng, (AC people, I saw Lee Th ean Ho there!!)

RJ is one stunner. My sister thinks he's probably gay, but I'd like to think he's not. He's so dreamy~!! Plus he's going to have his one-man+band recital in September too!! :D:D

Gleeeee.

Hostelsss

Hostel applications are such a PITA! (pain in the ass) Lousy websites with no direction sense whatsoever and e-mails who don't know the value of hyperlinks. st0opid st0opid st0opid..

Wahhh.. the papya I'm eating now is so sweet, if feels like it's been saturated and soaked in sugar.

Talked to Anli for like a while today and found out that she's on the verge of starving cos food is running out and it's so expensive. Snli!! Not war leh!! 21st century already!! Makes me wonder how my life down under will be like next year, thankfully the hostels provide food, but I havent't finished appliying yet because of the bitch that it is.

The fibre from the papaya's working.

And chio's entry was so touching, it's so coontagious, this whole tearing thing. See la chio!!

Lasik!

I had intended to blog before actually going for Lasik, but it looks like I've procrasticnated once again. Excuse the hoorendous typo errors, my vision still hasn't cleared up from yesterday. For all of you ou tthere who are thinking or are going for Lasik, herer's a lowdown on what's to be done, done, and hmm... what not to do! (i've gotten to like writing informative posts.)

Lasik

Most have heard of the procedure, and probably have a couple of friends who have gone for it, (if you don't now you do!) I have to friends who did theirs at 2 different times, 1 paid about 5K cos it had just started then, and another paid 4k for hers last year. Mine came up to 2.7k with all the miscellaneos idiot things, but the actual procedure itself cost $2388. (trust even the ang-mohish clinics to use this stupid 88 gimic.)

Read more here for the technical stuff, I can't give a very detailed write up now because I can't really read much in order to write, get what I mean? Going for Lasik gives mye the same feeling I got when I bought my babe guitar, it;'s something I've been waiting ages for!! Especially when your degree's 1000 each side, lasik gives you freedom!

I feel great now even though my vision i sn't as perfect as it should be, because I feel like I'm in heaven, everything has this glow, like, I can sorta read, but they all have this aura around it, its like I died and am now in heaven, haha... And I have things to drop into my eye hourly, I'm pratying there won't be any infection! The bulk of failed Lasiks are the result of infections, the procedure itself is pretty full proof, regulr LAsik has a 0.3% risk of failure, and the newer $200 more bladeless procedure which my mum told me to go for has almost zilch% risk. And I thought 0.3 was considered almost 0. Anways, pictures! I didn't get shots of the gear though, my batttery was flat.

As all surgeries they donned me in the typical blu tissue-ish gown, but this one was more comfy than the one I wore at NEC when I went for my cyst op. This Jap or korean girl called Nana attened to me and old me all the details, I must admuit it was quite annoying haveing to concentrate extra hard to get what she was saying, but she was really reallyl sweet and nice, she made milo for me!!

See the milo? And just the right temperature and gao-ness (thickness) too!! It was my 3rd cup of milo yesterday, hahaha... THe pre and post op waiting area was a little cubicle like place, basically the are is as large as a coffee table together with an armchair and standing room for a couple of people. The wait didn't feel long beacuse I had people like fei fei and my tuition kid smsing me. Plus I had my Michael Crichton book!(andnot to forget milo haha, So I was one very happy pre-op patient. I know it looks gross, many people experience bloodshot eyes after the op due to the suction cups placed in. Yes, suction cups. Groos right? It was painful, but it was kinda freaky, cod they kept telling meto lok straight when I cant see a thing, so I imagined lookings straight. The procedure itself was a mere 15 minutes, and the lasering was funny, you'd think lasers sound like this, piupiupiu!!

Noooooo! He let me hear hw it souded like before the actualy lasering so that I wouldn't get a fright. It was more of a really loud and rude kakakakakakakakaka.

And I could smell my cornea being burnt. Cao-tah cao-tah smell one.

And they made me buy 10 boxes of eyedrp[s! $16+ per box leh!! siao one... And it's not a life stime supply, barely a few months nia.

So everything looks like this to me now, No not that I see funny green bears la, its just that everything has a glow about it. Soo.... you all would look much more good-looking to me now because of my chair-mareness.
