boredboredboredboredboredbored.
Nobody talk to me.... *pouts xw pout* I sad sad!
Sucks that the family's not in, I haven't had the chance to talk to my sister this week, and conversation with her is very important to me, it's a time where both of us get to fulfill our word quota. And stu0opid feifei has abandoned me for crummy Vietnam, so that leaves me no choice but to fultill my word quota here, typing to NOONE. Ah!!!I'm going crazy!!
Sometimes I wish I were someone with a special need, then I wouldn't be watched and wouldn't be given blardy expectations to fulfill.
Splish Splash!
27 Dresses was good! After an entire week of dull, sleep inducing admin work and late night waitressing, the weekend has just been what I've been waiting for. Here's a line from 27 Dresses I found to be really apt at describing disappointment:
'It's like finding out that my all time favourite love song is about a sandwich!'
And here's another line I'd like to quote from the super cock jackson which I feel is a pick-me-up anyday,
'At least you don't have a siamese twin who's gay!'
And the moon has never looked fuller to me! Alright blame my lousy camera which has the most ineffective night mode, that bright light is not a street light but the moon. I know this is completely random, as usual, but the moon was gorgeous on the day that it was full, it was simply heavenly! All right nevermind I know everyone would rather hear about mooncakes rather than moons.
I don't understand how anyone can stand a desk job, it's the most unhealthy, uninteresting, uninteractive and unstimulating job ever.
Last thing I'd like to say, the best way to appreciate and enjoy a weekend, is to slog like a dog during the week to fully understand why weekends were created.
Our botak boys-turned-men are out from their 2 week (prison) confinement! WEll, at least most of them, haha...

cigerettes
'Eh Mah-brow Lite'
or
'Mah-blow Men-toh'
So I thought to myself, is it Marlbrow? Marbolo? Marborow? Mahbolo? The worst combination is Marlboro Menthol Light, now try saying that five times in a row. You may end up with something like
'Marbolo Menthol Light'
or
'Marboro Menthol Right'
Sometimes the customers get a little slurry and slobber their way through the Cigarette name, resulting in me getting equally blur and confused (Thank goodness they're too stoned to notice)
And so, after much clarification and practice, I can now pronounce Marlboro with ease. =) Ok fine, I still can't.

Rain
Now I have furballs in my pencil case.
And it's still pouring like crazy! I just want to curl up and sleep, but I have such an awful stiff neck it feels as if I went through a wrestling match yesterday! so much for being happy clappy all day-y (must rhyme mah...)
Happy!!
Secondly, I didn't fall down when I ice skated today! All right I did slip once and landed on my knees, but I'm glad that I managed to overcome my short term phobia. (St0opid Nat, I had to take cab leh!) And church was great today, =) so nice and un-emo. haha,... Nevermind.
Thirdly, I'm employed/semi-employed! Thanks to darling Aipoingo! Thank God! Yay!
Fourthly, work was damn slack today, and I was in such a good mood already, me breaking the cork of a wine bottle didn't set me off too much because there were not many staff around. It's much less stressful when no one's watching. But still paiseh la, I had to get the manager to open for me.
=)=)
And finally I come home early and get to talk to my 2 most favouritest girls! ( When I'm happy I create words no matter how retarded they sound) Fei fei and Nat! yay! =)
Spread the joy! hahah.... damn high now la!

Thinking...
Having joined the service industry, even though it has been a mere couple of weeks, has increased my empathy level and awareness but quite a fair bit. Some people ask me why I bother 'stooping' to do such a low paying and strenuous (we walk A LOT ok) job when with a pre-A-level cert you could be sitting comfortable in an office chair sticking labels/calling aunties/licking stamps/writing cheques all for a much higher pay. For one, I think it's an industry that requires much more brain and skill than admin work, I think these people should be paid much much more. Anyways, the F&B industry is something we all encounter daily, whether it's in the kopitiam or a posh restaurant. Face it, we eat everyday and it's nice to know what some places do to your food before you get it. I've always found an inclination towards behind-the-scenes things. The process of preperation catches my attention way more than the end product. Plus, I get to learn how to open bottles of wine! However I must admit that being constantly surrounded by drinkers and smokers isn't exactly the most pleasant thing, especially when you've got a sensitive nose. And knowing that with a protective and conservative mum like mine who's bred us to have a now natural disinterest or aversion towards alcohol, this would be a good opportunity to learn about the different poisons people put into their bodies. Gin, rum, vodka, whisky.. the list goes on and on and now, I finally know the difference between them! Well, not taste wise, but the technical side of alcohol at least.
Oh well then, I'm sleepy and we're having the nice-to-sleep weather now. =)

A First
Seeing semi-drunk grown ups shaking their bootys to thumping, repetitive music and looking all happy in their own little world is kinda funny. It seems like you're watching a display. Working in a party is probably something I'd prefer to attending one namely because for one, there's no need to worry about your outfit/appearance. The ridiculously loud music, the overfriendly half drunk people who look like they're about to collapse on you as they order their 142th glass of champagne, all this will smoking their 423rd cigarette.
Nahhh... so not something I'd enjoy unless I too were intoxicated to begin with.

*Pouts the xiangwei pout*
It's going to be 2008 and I don't feel a thing because of the lack of school. I miss the first days of schools for my past 12 years of formal education, every year, the first day of school is filled with anticipation of potentials to be fulfilled and expectations to be set. The first day of school I liked the most was the first day of Sec 4, I felt as if I owned the school as I re-stepped through the gates of my puny neighbourhood school, knowing that it would be the last and feeling as 'dua pai' as ever. Looking at the lower sec students and the annoying sec 3s (I somehow detested that batch of students) and sneering at their little miniscule brains. Haha... All right I'm not THAT mean.
Now that my years of education are over, it seems that new year has lost it's meaning. What's a new year when you're still stuck in the same job or doing that same thing? There no longer is a major change to emphasise or add to the significance of a NEW year, because there's nothing NEW! Even Uni life would be such a bore because you're still in the same year even though it's a new year. HAHA, I bet you didn't understand that. The former year refers to the academic year while the latter refers to the calender year. Hope that helped.
I hate chemistry. Gah...
Oh well, happy new year people! I'll be counting down in a mosquito infested place, not to mention smoke saturated as well.

Real Music
This is what I call real music. An entire orchestra just expressing the song as it should be and the vocalists putting in the emotions and expressions. Everytime my sister and I watch this video, we get all soft and swept away, Nothing can compare to the nostalgia of a good Disney movie such as Aladdin. I must say Enchanted is the closest Disney has ever gone to creating classics. It's the whole orchestra thing.
I just love Lea Salonga! Now that's what I call a voice!

*cough cough*
Smoke smoke smoke, as if Indonesia not enough fires.
Oh yes, I admit, I gave in and got a facebook account. And I still can't believe almost ALL of my friends already have accounts. Even cave dwelling loser oily, (HAH) however I still find it cluttered and confusing. I'm sticking to good ole friendster (sad thing is no one else is).

You know how irritating some blogs can get where they give fragments whose meanings are only known by the writer? How inconsiderate and attention seeking! I shall do the same.
I hate this game (Must put in italics one)
Bah. I'm being grumpy angsty and emo. There come phases in life where you refuse to see the good in anything and insist stubbornly on torturing yourself with the less nice bits. It's silly, irrational and rarely gets nothing but harm done. And as a person who tries to see the logic in rationalises almost everything, it sucks even more. But I insist on doing so because it's these things I find which make you grow, and it's theraputic. Somehow the image of a perpetually happy clappy person who skips around all day round seems delusional, idealistic and very much like an airhead. There some days where you simply want to let the inner bitch out, I feel that she makes me write better. You know there are classes in France on How to be a Bitch.
Argh!
Step on my toes and you die.

Mish Mash
And of course who can go to Malaysia without eating at the all time Singaporean/touristy favourite, A&W! Courtesy of Roger who so generously used a quarter of the fuel tank just to bring me/get lost around Malaysia. Yes, I know that's the only way to find your way, haha... But it was real fun with no gah-ment in the car. Look they even keep using the glass mug!
As I said this would be random, here's a cute cartoon Nat sent me, it's a really adorable and slightly sadistic series, but it's hilarious! =)And I discovered today thatI've spent about $100 on AC T shirts. Here's the collection to show for my loyalty.

Enlightenment!
In the paradox of Achilles and the Tortoise, we imagine the Greek hero Achilles in a footrace with the plodding reptile. Because he is such a fast runner, Achilles graciously allows the tortoise a head start of a hundred feet. If we suppose that each racer starts running at some constant speed (one very fast and one very slow), then after some finite time, Achilles will have run a hundred feet, bringing him to the tortoise's starting point; during this time, the tortoise has "run" a (much shorter) distance, say one foot. It will then take Achilles some further period of time to run that distance, in which said period the tortoise will advance farther; and then another period of time to reach this third point, while the tortoise moves ahead. Thus, whenever Achilles reaches somewhere the tortoise has been, he still has farther to go. Therefore, Zeno says, swift Achilles can never overtake the tortoise. Thus, while common sense and common experience would hold that one runner can catch another, according to the above argument, he cannot; this is the paradox.
Here's a similar old timer question that bugged me for ages and bugged yanwen for even longer.
3 people eat at a restaurant and the bill comes up to $30, so each pay $10 to the waiter. The manager decides to give a discount and returns $5. However, the waiter decides to keep $2 for himself and returns $3 to the customers (by giving each a dollar). Each of them has now paid $9 each right? 3 x 9 = 27, and 27 plu the 2 dollars with the waiter is $29. What happened to the missing dollar?
Go figure. I know all your brains are rusting after exams.
